[News] From Fin.K.L to f(x), old and new groups attend the opening of the Girls’ Generation international tour

On the afternoon of June 9, a concert of the 2013 Girls’ Generation World Tour – Girls & Peace was held at the Gymnastics Arena in Olympic Park in Seoul. For two and a half hours, the nine members of the group (Taeyeon, Yuri, Tiffany, Jesicca, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun) performed 28 songs that have been released in Korea and Japan, starting with “Hoot,” the title song of their third EP.

Girls’ Generation attracted an audience of about 10,000 at the previous concert, on June 8, bringing total attendance for the two concerts to about 20,000. A number of colleagues of Girls’ Generation were also present, attracting a lot of attention from fans.

Oak Joo-Hyun of Fin.K.L, who has been close to Girls’ Generation members; Sun Ye of the Wonder Girls, who has been close to the group since their debut; Bora of Sistar; Hyomin and Eunjung of T-ara; Nicole of Kara; Min of Miss A; and Krystal of f(x) all in attendance and showed fervent responses to Girls’ Generation’s performances.

Other well-known performers in the audience included Sung Yeol, Hoya, and Sung Jong of Infinite, who are heading out on a world tour; Kangin, Donghae, and Kyuhyun of Super Junior, who are currently on a world tour; and Minho and Key of Shinee. Entertainer Kim Shin Young stood up during the show and greeted Girls’ Generation delightfully. The group EXO and Eunhyuk of Super Junior visited the concert on June 8.

Starting from the concert in Taipei on July 20 and 21, Girls’ Generation will continue the international tour in Asia and then move on to major cities around the world, including the Americas.
