18th October 2013, Kuala Lumpur - The seven male members of Korean megastar band INFINITE who is now at the very heart of the massive popularity of K-Pop successfully debuted in June 2010 with their first mini album going straight to the top of charts. In 2012, Infinite became even popular with 'Scorpion Dance' featured in 'B.T.D' and propelled into super stardom with 'Over The Top' winning music awards. They continued releasing No.1 hits like 'Paradise', 'The Chaser' 'Man In love' 'Destiny' and more.

INFINITE, whose members are Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Sungyeol, Sungjong, Woohyun, Hoya and L, has always given their fans total satisfaction with powerful, eye-catching performances. This summer, INFINITE celebrates their 3rd anniversary since exploding on the scene and takes their music to the world starting in Seoul, Korea. Following this, ''2013 INFINITE 1ST WORLD TOUR 'ONE GREAT STEP' IN KUALA LUMPUR' was held on 19th October 2013 at Stadium Negara Kuala Lumpur. Their journey will continue through China and many more Asian countries and beyond, touring until the end of the year, performing in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East and more.
In a press conference held the day before the concert, INFINITE meets with members of the local media at JW Marriot Hotel. Dressed in handsome black suits and excited looks on their faces, the boys greet the press with Apa Khabar (How are you) and introduced themselves before the Q&A session.
Q1: This is your second time here (after 27th Golden Disk Award) in Malaysia, what is your first impression about Malaysia so far?
A: (Sunggyu) This is our second time here, we're nervous yet very happy to be back here again to hold our very own concert here in Malaysia. When we first visited here, the fans were so amazing and we're happy and excited to see our fans again.
Q2: Everybody know and love your song 'Destiny'. Who would you say that made your expectation at a while?
A: (Sunggyu) Firstly it was more than we expected and we so appreciate the fans support, despite different culture. We're the first Korean that got permission to shoot our video at Universal Studios in USA and we're so thankful with it.
Q3: This is the very first INFINITE World Tour 'One Great Step' around the world. What is the difference between holding your concert in Seoul and other countries around the world?
A: (Woohyun) It's such a great feeling and touching moment as we're looking forward and waiting for this dreams to finally come true and we worked very hard to have this (world tour) concert.
Q4: You've been around the world, what is one thing that you would say that is the most impressive so far about being all over the world?
A: (Hoya) Of course it's such a great time to be touring around the world for our concert, but I would say Thailand fans give me the most memorable moment so far. We're so touched with their passionate support.
Q5: Any special segment/stage for Malaysia fans?
A: (Sungyeol) Just like our previous concert stage, each of us have prepared an individual stage for the concert. If you want to know how it would look like, please come and check it out during our concert tomorrow.
Q6: You choose 'One Great Step' as your 1st World Tour's name. Where did this name come from? And what is the meaning behind the name?
A: The name One Great Step was inspired from the first step of Neil Armstrong in 1969 who has landed on the moon for the first time, and from that we wish this will be a one great international leap for us to have worldwide concert.
Q7: Being a Kpop Star, everyone wants to know, what motivates you to step up on stage and give great performance to the fans?
A: ( L) Basically we're enjoying being on the stage because of our fans, the biggest motivation comes from the fans itself
Q8: With the busy schedule of course there is a lot of practicing to be done, what do you do to release some stress and relaxing yourself?
A: (SungJong) For me I take Korean ginseng and Vitamin C to stay energized.
(Sunggyu) Taking photo is part of L's hobbies, I would say that's his way to release stress and for the rest of us it's either we'll go for some exercising and swimming to keep ourselves in track
Q9:Talking about individual activity, what is the advantage of performing with the band or performing solo?
A: (Sunggyu) By doing individual stage each members could actually show off our true ability and show various color but performing solo is actually kind of lonely and for that I still prefer performing with the rest of the members.
Q10: What is the next step for INFINITE after One Great Step tour?
A: (Dongwoo) In gratitude to our fans all over the world, we would like to thank them for their love and support. After this tour we'll be coming back and releasing new single within this year, please look forward and give us a lot of support and love.
Q11: Any word for Malaysia Inspirit fans?
A: (Woohyun) This is our second time visiting Malaysia, thank you for your love and support and we'll work even harder to show the coolest image than now and I hope fans will continue support us and look for us. And we're also looking forward for tomorrow concert. We love you Malaysia Inspirit!
